2. The Paleo diet is exclusively for fat loss

Fat loss is without doubt one of the advantages of a Paleo approach, however it’s not the objective. 4. The Paleo diet is too expensive

No, it’s not. Or at least it doesn’t have to be.

You’re encouraged to purchase your meats and greens from farmers’ markets and other local suppliers. Often, it’s possible to get discounts and special rates. And since you’ll be doing all of your own cooking, you’ll be spending much less money on meals. Moreover, since junk food and processed meals are off the menu, you’ll save by not spending anything on your usual comforts foods. So, the Paleo diet doesn’t have to cost more than a standard diet, and in the end it may actually save you money!

5. The Paleo diet isn’t for women

There are a lot of arguments for this, suggesting that women need additional carbohydrates, and so on. In all cases and for all people, it’s best to adapt the diet based on needs and reactions. For instance, if someone feels tired or lethargic, she could add extra carbs by eating more vegetables. The Paleo diet isn’t a rigid approach. Everyone is different, so play around and find out what suits you best.
